Passion: Just One of the Fuels of Happiness

,
Passion

I’m told breakfast is the most important part of the day. It gives your body the fuel needed to start the day off right. And there are so many different things you can eat for breakfast. Coffee (my favorite), fruit, eggs, bagels, pancakes. The options really are limitless. Just like breakfast is the fuel to start your day, passion in what you do is one of the fuels to achieving happiness.

Passion sets the tone

Starting the day with one of your passions will fuel not just your happiness, but your day, too. Sort of like eating that good breakfast, when you start the day with something you are passionate about, you start your day on the right foot. You automatically go into the day with a smile on your face and ready to take whatever the day has in store.

An increase in energy and fulfillment

What happens when we do something we are passionate about doing? We feel happy, fulfilled. We have a renewed energy and excitement about whatever it is we are doing. But there is a challenge built in to fueling our passion. We cannot let our passions become ‘have tos.” Keep them as ‘want tos.” Without the want, you risk losing the passion and all of the joy that comes with that passion.

There are – and you can have – many passions

The list I provided above – as you well know – is just a smattering of what you could have for breakfast. The choice abound! The same is true for the number of passions that exist in the world and that you can have. Your passions don’t all have to be related. They can be as varied as your tastes. Your passions should also be YOUR passions, not something you become passionate about just because someone else is.

One of the keys to happiness is finding your passions and nurturing them. Feed each of them and they will feed your soul.
